MAY 18TH, 2019 This year鈥檚 AWA+D SYMPOSIUM aims to showcase different paths to professional practice, as well as highlight some of the considerations involved in shaping a careerthat feels both authentic and fulfilling. Contemporary architectsand designers have unprecedented choice regarding how topractice. While such an open field allows for more personal freedom, finding an inspiring career model鈥攐谤&苍产蝉辫;creating your own鈥攃an be challenging.

 One panel discussion will address what it is like to practice in small, medium, and large architecture firms, and to sometimes find yourself jumping between them. Another panel will focus on design-oriented practitioners navigating alternative career paths. Following the panels, breakout sessions led by the panelists and other industry representatives will continue the conversationon a more intimate level.
